Get Lost Hike
June 27, 2026 · Erwin Park, McKinney, TX
Men and boys traded screens for trail on a Saturday morning at Erwin Park. We walked, talked, and stopped for a picnic lunch along the way. Wilderness skills, leadership, and what it means to grow into a man of integrity came up naturally, the way they do on a long walk together.
What We Did
- Hiked the Erwin Park trails
- Shared a packed picnic lunch on the trail
- Talked through wilderness skills and leadership along the way
- Enjoyed a morning in God’s creation, away from the noise
Pinewood Derby & Action Day
May 9 2026 · Caddo Mills, TX
Boys and men spent a Saturday afternoon racing cars they built themselves, then traded the track for targets. It was a day of friendly competition, cheering each other on, and the kind of confidence that comes from trying something new with a man beside you.
What We Did
- Designed, built, and raced pinewood derby cars
- Learned axe throwing with adult instruction
- Practiced archery and paintball target shooting with guided instruction
- Shared hotdogs and fries
- Handed out awards for the fastest cars, standout designs, and special challenges
Camp Out 2025
November 21–22, 2025 · Oklahoma
Our first big Men With Hearts camp-out took men and boys into the Oklahoma woods for an overnight of campfires, hard work, and time together in God’s creation. The boys didn’t just watch. They built, cooked, fished, and explored alongside the men investing in them.
What We Did
- Made slingshots by hand
- Cooked our own meals over the fire
- Went fishing and explored the woods
- Hiked the property
- Learned wood chopping and tried axe throwing, with adult instruction
- Rode ATVs with adult supervision and safety gear
- Gathered for campfire discussions about what it means to grow into a man of integrity
